HEROIN. The music is as edgy as the song’s subject matter.

I love the way it builds and ebbs in waves, and the way the vocals and backing drive eachother to changes in tempo. Talk about evocative.

(I also like ChrisD’s nomination of Patti’s ‘Horses’, which hadn’t occurred to me)

What a choice, it somewhat depends on my mood but overall it has got to be Heroin.

Also love Patti Smith’s Horses (produced by Mr Cale), lots of energy and typically inventive.
